Mackenzie Buchwald

Mackenzie began dancing when she was 2 years old. She is a Pre Senior
dancer at In Motion School of the Performing Arts. She continues to train and
compete in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, acro, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop.
Her ballet training includes both Cecchetti and Royal Academy of Dance
syllabi. Most recently she received Distinction on her Intermediate RAD
exam.

She has been a teaching assistant at In Motion for the past 4 years and she
has assisted at the studios summer dance camp. She has assisted in ballet,
jazz, tap, acro and lyrical dance styles. Mackenzie enjoys working with kids of
all ages.

Mackenzie has attended many dance competitions across Ontario and has
been awarded with many special awards, overall awards and scholarships.
Recent awards include first place overall 12 year old soloists 2018
(Bedazzled), third place Junior overall soloist 2018 (Terpsichore),first place
overall Intermediate acro duet 2018 (Bedazzled), first place overall
Intermediate duet 2018 (The View), Move Intermediate Finalist (2018),
Ballet powerhouse award 2017(Fever).

She supplemented her training by attending the Northern Movement Acro
Convention over the past 3 years.

She has worked with choreographers including, Blake McGrath, Erin
Waltman, Brodie Masse, Josh Assor and Stephanie Rutherford.
Mackenzie loves to dance and is looking forward to sharing her passion with
other students.
